Ear Wax Removal (£55)

The safest and easiest way to get rid of excess or stubborn
earwax is to see a professional. We offer microsuction and water irrigation earwax removal services by our trained and professionally registered practitioners.

We charge £55 for one or both ears. And if we don't find any wax, we'll complete a full ear health check, which costs £25.

Microsuction

A specialised vacuum cleaner small enough to fit precisely in the ear, microsuction is one of the safest, quickest and most hassle-free ear cleaning methods.

Water Irrigation

Ear syringing uses a controlled, pressurised stream of targeted, body-temperature water, our expert audiologists are able to clear out that pesky excess wax in a matter of minutes.

Wart / Verruca Removal

Warts are small lumps on the surface of the skin which usually occur on the fingers, knuckles and palms and feel firm to the touch. Verrucae can occur on the sole of the foot or toes. They are under the skin and usually have distinctive tiny black dots which are blood vessels. Warts do not cause pain but they could be itchy and a verruca could cause some pain and can feel like standing on a needle. Occasionally they may go away on their own, but this can take months or even years, so it is best to seek the advice of a medical practitioner.

Cryotherapy (from £65 for up to 3)

Liquid nitrogen freezes and destroys both the wart and a small area of normal skin around the wart.

  • A special spray bottle or a cotton swab is used to put on the liquid nitrogen. It takes about 10 to 20 seconds to apply.
  • Some warts are very thick. The extra skin on top of these warts needs to be removed for the treatment to work better. This is done with a special sharp instrument.
  • In most cases a blister will form where liquid nitrogen is applied.
  • After 4 to 7 days, the blister will break, dry up and fall off. The area may be sore.
  • Most warts will need to be treated several times, waiting 4 to 6 weeks between treatments. The number of treatments depends on the size of the wart and how well the wart responds to the treatment.
  • Most warts will improve and disappear with liquid nitrogen treatment. For some patients it may not be as helpful. In very few patients, the wart may become bigger or a ring of smaller warts will develop around the treated wart.

Skin Tag Cryotherapy or Cautery
(from £99 for up to 3 tags)

Cryosurgery is a highly effective treatment for a wide variety of benign (non-cancerous) skin problems. It is an effective treatment for wart and small skin tag removal using Liquid Nitrogen.Advantages of this technique are that it is quick and there is minimal risk of scarring or infection.

What To Expect With Cryotherapy

Liquid nitrogen is extremely cold. When sprayed on your skin, the top skin layer rapidly freezes. When you leave The GP Surgery, the freezing site will probably be red and swollen, and it may sting and itch as it thaws. Expect the site to look worse over the next few days before it gets better. Swelling and/or blistering often develop within a couple of hours after treatment. 2-3 days after treatment a scab will probably form which will then take 7-10 days to fall off, leaving a pink smooth area.
